Camino de Santiago Seminar Series

Seminar by Janet Palcko

Part One:
Planning a first Camino can be confusing or overwhelming. Our speaker will share her experiences walking two different Camino routes so you can visualize and plan a Camino that is just right for you. Our speaker will discuss how to prepare and what to expect when walking (or riding) the Camino de Santiago in Spain. (7:00PM-7:30PM will be designated for Q&As).

Part Two:
A deeper dive into the Camino experience, discussing different routes, seasonal adjustments and many useful tips to help you have your best Camino. (7:00PM-7:30PM will be designated for Q&As).

If you are thinking about doing this walk, now is the time to prepare. Janet walked the "Camino Frances" in 2018 (solo), then returned to walk the Portuguese route this past spring. Join her in each 90 minute class where she will go over what you need to know about training, packing and what to expect on the Camino.

The Camino de Santiago is a pilgrimage walk to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain, where it is said that the remains of Saint James the apostle are buried.

The Camino de Santiago is not just one route. Thousands of people walking from their homes throughout the Middle Ages paved many roads all across Europe, but they all come together like branches of a tree and arrive at Santiago. Today, thousands of people cover those same routes each year, some for spiritual reasons, others for physical or adventure challenges. But they are all considered Pilgrims along The Way.

There is a $30 participation fee to attend both seminars.
