Oktoberfest Event Features Jack Wolfskin, LEKI, Deuter, and Lowa
Set aside October 21 to come to Oktoberfest at Appalachian Outfitters! We are excited to be your host for an evening of music, beer, pretzels, and high-quality outdoor gear. All of the proceeds will benefit conservancy projects for our local Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP).
For our Oktoberfest, we will feature products from Jack Wolfskin, Leki, Deuter, and Lowa. All of these companies are based in Germany, bringing with them the German reputation for durable, quality products. We love these brands for hiking, and the upcoming fall season is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the crisp autumn view.
Jack Wolfskin is a unique brand from Germany that has just recently come to the US – only a select few American outdoor retailers carry Jack Wolfskin gear. In addition to the company’s innovative products, it also makes sustainability a top priority. What makes the brand so lovable is not only its innovative products, but its commitment to using sustainable materials.
LEKI creates some of the leading trekking poles on the market. Whether you’re looking for an all-purpose pole or a specifically female pole, LEKI has designs to match. Its latest innovation is shock-absorbing technology that is placed inside the trekking poles themselves, making them more comfortable and user-friendly.
People have been relying on the comfort and durability of Deuter backpacks since 1898 when the company started out making mailbags and post sacks for the Bavarian Royal Mail. These backpacks use a unique Aircontact system to make your backpack more comfortable for long hikes, adjusting to fit your back and shoulders.
Our last feature is Lowa, a company that designs boots with polyurethane heels that don’t break down like regular EVA insoles. Instead, Lowa boots have the flexibility, comfort, and durability to be your go-to shoes for your next long trek.
