The History Behind Tecnica
Tecnica was founded in 1960 by two brothers, Giancarlo and Ambrosiano Zanatta, as Calzaturificio Tecnica Spa. In 1970, Tecnica launched the first Moon Boot inspired by the moon landing, and this ultimately led to their wild success in the sports footwear world. On-going technological research and a passion for innovation lie at the heart of Tecnica’s philosophy. Since the release of the Moon Boot, Tecnica has expanded to make ski boots and shoes for hiking, trekking, and trail running.
