Ecommerce deliveries have a carbon footprint. That's why we support verified projects that remove carbon from the air.
Every delivery’s carbon footprint is calculated based on weight, shipping method, and distance traveled. We neutralize these emissions by purchasing verified carbon removal credits from groundbreaking projects. When you add a contribution to your order, 100% of that money is used to pay for additional carbon removal.

With your purchase, you’ll join a community of proactive merchants and customers dedicated to a sustainable future. Together, we've removed emissions for over 57 million deliveries and removed over 41 thousand tonnes of carbon.
We work with a network of pioneering carbon removal companies that have been vetted by the commerce platform Shopify.

The Gransfors Bruk Swedish Carving Axe is used for woodworking and shaping wood. The axe has been developed in collaboration with master craftsmen Wille Sundqvist and Onni Linnanheimo, with inspiration from old designs.
The Gransfors Bruk Swedish Carving Axe - Double Bevel has a relatively long, curved cutting edge which is double-sided, offering the most flexibility, at the expense of some of the precision control offered by a left or right bevel.
The Gransfors Bruk Swedish Carving Axe - Left Bevel, has a short bevel face on the right side of the edge, if the axe is held in the right hand with the handle down and head up. The left side of the edge has a longer, slightly concave bevel face, which provides excellent support when carving.
The Gransfors Bruk Swedish Carving Axe - Right Bevel, has a short bevel face on the left side of the edge, if the axe is held in the left hand with the handle down and head up. The right side of the edge has a longer, slightly concave bevel face, which provides excellent support when carving.
The Gransfors Bruk Swedish Carving Axe - Double Bevel with Carved Handle has the same grind and flexibility of the double bevel, but a carved handle giving even better grip and control.
Which Bevel Should I Get?
With a single bevel axe you want the flatter side of the axe facing the wood. A right handed person making a stroke down and to the left or horizontal stroke moving right to left would typically use a left bevel axe, but a right handed person making a vertical stroke or swinging down and to the right to carve will typically use a right bevel axe. For someone that is left handed, then the opposite would be the case. Depending on what you are doing, both bevels may be needed to carve effectively. If you are unsure of which bevel you would prefer we recommend taking a look of one of the double beveled models.
The axe is delivered with a sheath.
