The No.06 is the smallest model that features the Virobloc safety ring. It is small enough to be placed in a pocket or purse and will “deliver” when needs be. Use it at a picnic, to open boxes or letters and the Virobloc locks the blade shut while not in use. Made in France.

I puchased three Opinel knives 40 yrs. ago. One for my brother one for my dad and one for me. My 88 yr. old dad has his. I have my brothers since he passed last year. I hae had four different ones because I lay them down while working and they dissapear. They are the best allaround working knife I have ever owned and I happily si g their praise to anyone that will listen. I own many knives for different uses bit the one that is always in my pocket is an Opinel.

An old Friend

I have used Opinel knives for about 20 years. My dog chewed up the handle on my old one, so it was time to replace it. I bought 2 so I could give one to a friend for his backpack. These knives are really light weight, durable and sharp! Anyone looking for a good, inexpensive knife should consider one.
